Athlete / Junior and Development Program Director
Elsa is currently the only senior Irish luge athlete racing internationally. After starting sliding in Innsbruck, Austria, as a teenager, Elsa quickly progressed to the world cup circuit. In 2022 she made history becoming the first athlete to represent Ireland in luge at the Olympics. Elsa also manages the Luge Ireland Development Program for the youth, junior and recreational athletes, using her own experience as an athlete to create a structured and supported development pathway. When she is not on the ice Elsa works in the UK as a Doctor in the NHS, her goal is to one day work for the Air Ambulance.
